Find Your GRIT
OUR CLASSES
Three Ways To Train
At GRIT Running Center, we offer three ways to train — each designed to meet you where you are and help you build consistency, confidence, and longevity in your running journey.
No matter your pace or experience level, you’ll find structure, support, and a community that believes in progress over perfection.
Group Classes
Small-group treadmill sessions designed to challenge you at your own pace
Personal Training
Customized running programs built around your goals, lifestyle, and race calendar
Private Sessions
Ideal for athletes returning from injury, refining form or technique, or assessing paces.
Group Classes
We offer five different group training classes designed for runners of all experience levels — each targeting key elements like aerobic development, threshold work, and anaerobic strength.
Unlike traditional group fitness, we’ve created a space where you can experience the motivation of running alongside others without the pressure of keeping up. Every workout is effort-based, allowing you to train at the right intensity for your body and goals.
You’ll get the benefits of personalized coaching with the energy of a team — improving form, pacing, and endurance while building confidence and consistency. Our Woodway treadmills provide a low-impact surface for safer, more efficient running, helping you stay strong, injury-free, and connected to a community that’s here to push with you, not past you.
Duration: 50 minutes

CLASSES
-
• Intermediate, Advanced (Anaerobic)
Runners partake in a "fartlek." The word fartlek originates from Sweden meaning "speed play." There is no set pace, and the instructor will periodically increase the speed over inclined hills to help maximize the physical and mental capabilities with proper running form.
-
• Intermediate, Advanced (Aerobic + Threshold)
Strength training class incorporating weights, bands, and other equipment along with some incline running to help improve muscle strength, prevent injuries, and enhance running form.
-
• Intermediate, Advanced (Threshold)
Endurance training class while learning to pace yourself in order to accomplish a negative split (pick up pace). The goal is to be able to complete the second half of your run faster than your first half, simulating a race day strategy.
-
• Novice, Intermediate, Advanced (Aerobic)
Run/Jog/Walk. Great introductory class to help find your comfortable pace and proper form. Intermediate and advanced can focus on proper form and breathing.
-
• Novice, Intermediate, Advanced (Aerobic + Threshold + Anaerobic)
This class consists of a Run/Walk or Run/Jog workout.
The intervals are run for a specific amount of time, specific distances, at specific paces, and with specific recovery periods. Overall, this helps the runner boost cardiovascular fitness.
Personal Training
Our personal training plans are built for runners who want structure, accountability, and flexibility — all in one.
You’ll work one-on-one with a certified running coach to create a plan that fits your goals, schedule, and lifestyle. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, preparing for a marathon, or rebuilding your base, we’ll help you train efficiently and stay consistent without burnout.
